Morning Pages – Day 2

Day 2 of 7 🙂

Today’s writing was a rant of worries that later turned to gratitude for my health and the health of my kids. Someone I know has a baby in the hospital and the thoughts of that put my own worries right into perspective! Fast.

A lot came up about freedom and simplifying with my upcoming move. I am downsizing my home and I think living more simply and closer together will be good for my family. We are pretty spread out in the house we have now.
So it will be interesting… If people are upstairs you don’t see them the rest of the night. I think a smaller space will bring us closer.

We won’t be texting to people upstairs! More conversation…

So today was a lot on gratitude , perspective, simplifying life & decluttering.
Decluttering the physical space I live in with the move as well my mind with these morning pages 😉 .

Morning Pages – Day 1

I made a new commitment to do “Morning Pages” for the next 7 days. Maybe it will go longer, but for now… I will start with a week.

Today the themes that came up are around fear, wanting clarity, next steps, self doubt, and also I noticed alot of coaching myself. I think that is a good sign – its me trying to steer myself out of negative thinking.

The other thing that came out of todays Morning Pages which was the need to Trust that things are happening at the right time.

What are Morning Pages?

“Morning Pages are three pages of longhand, stream of consciousness writing, done first thing in the morning.
*There is no wrong way to do Morning Pages*–
they are not high art. They are not even “writing.” They are about
anything and everything that crosses your mind– and they are for your eyes
only. Morning Pages provoke, clarify, comfort, cajole, prioritize and
synchronize the day at hand. Do not over-think Morning Pages: just put
three pages of anything on the page…and then do three more pages tomorrow.”

I have done Morning Pages before, but not consistently… Never for 7 days straight. This is different from journaling, but I am also doing it to help get myself back journaling consistently since I have slacked off on that!

This is a perfect time for me to do them with some transitions I am going through. Right now…I should be packing for moving in a few weeks, but here I am writing this post… 🙂

It will all be done at the right time. Trust 🙂
